Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, Monday–Thursday, with Friday optional
  • 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments where hiring managers rely on recruiters for guidance, structure, and clarity.
  • A proven ability to authentically source and build relationships with diverse talent.
  • A data-informed approach to making decisions and balancing efficiency with quality.
  • A comfort with ambiguity and a passion for digging into details to solve problems without sacrificing candidate experience.

  • Deep expertise in Engineering and Product recruiting, with the ability to independently lead complex or ambiguous searches.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for Engineering and Product roles, building and maintaining a strong, diverse pipeline across all locations.
  • Partner with hiring managers to refine role requirements, align interview processes to real skill needs, and guide expectations using market insights.
  • Use data to diagnose pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, and make strategic recommendations that improve hiring outcomes.
  • Drive top-of-funnel sourcing efforts (about 25–30% of your time), especially for niche or challenging roles, collaborating with sourcers on outreach and messaging.
  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience, training interview teams, advising stakeholders, and ensuring every interaction reflects Duolingo’s values.
