About The Position

Decagon is rapidly scaling and is looking for a Leadership Recruiter to focus on hiring senior and executive-level technical leaders. In this role, you will partner closely with founders and senior leaders to build the leadership layer across Engineering, Product and Design. This role is for someone who thrives in high-impact, high-judgment hiring. You will have significant ownership and autonomy, and play a critical role in shaping how Decagon scales its technical leadership as the company grows.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with significant focus on technical leadership or senior technical hiring
  • Proven success building and scaling leadership teams in competitive, high-growth environments
  • Strong judgment and credibility when partnering with founders, executives, and senior engineering leaders
  • An effective communicator who builds trust quickly with both candidates and stakeholders
  • Experience owning OKRs and delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment with high expectations

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with company leaders and Co-Founders to hire technical leadership roles, including Staff+ ICs, Engineering Managers, Directors, and select executive-level hires
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on org design, leadership gaps, leveling, and succession planning
  • Proactively source, engage, and close senior technical leaders in highly competitive markets
  • Develop and apply a clear point of view on what great technical leadership looks like at different stages of company growth
  • Build and continuously improve interview processes to ensure high signal, speed, and an exceptional candidate experience
  • Lead by example and mentor other recruiters on leadership hiring best practices
  • Own hiring goals for leadership roles across key technical organizations
  • Lead or contribute to broader Talent initiatives across areas such as employer branding, recruiting operations, and candidate experience
  • Operate with a strong one-team mindset to deliver against ambitious, company-wide hiring goals
