The company is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join its Aerospace & Defense Custom Solutions (ADCS) group. This role involves leading a cross-functional team of Systems, Mechanical, and Software engineers in the development and delivery of custom test system solutions tailored to customer needs. The project manager will concurrently manage multiple projects and support one or more customers. The ideal candidate will build strong, trusted relationships with customers to thoroughly understand their needs and system requirements, and possess a strong technical engineering background to facilitate discussions between customers and the engineering team, aiding in identifying and mitigating project risks as designs evolve.

Requirements

BS or MS degree in an Engineering field is required
Strong communication skills to interface effectively with customers and internal teams
Exceptional organizational skills and comfort working in an agile, fast‑paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Outlook, and Project)
10+ years in a customer‑ and factory‑facing role (Applications Engineering, Product Management, Product Development)
8+ years as a Project or Program Manager
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
Ability to meet ITAR requirements
Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident) as defined by ITAR

Nice To Haves

PMP certification is a plus
Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of RF and test systems is a plus
Experience developing custom test solutions is preferred

Responsibilities

Demonstrate strong leadership by guiding cross‑functional engineering teams, setting clear expectations, and promoting accountability across all project activities.
Foster a collaborative environment, facilitating effective communication, resolving conflicts constructively, and leading teams through technical complexity and ambiguity.
Model professionalism, sound decision‑making, and a customer‑focused mindset while motivating teams to deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule.
Responsible for the successful execution of each project, including requirements and design reviews, scheduling, resource planning, risk management, product development, integration and test, delivery, and post‑delivery support.
Collaborate with our business development team to generate accurate and compelling proposals for new business opportunities.
Partner with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering of materials needed for project execution.
Track high‑risk and long‑lead items, monitor supplier performance, and escalate risks to maintain schedule commitments.
Work closely with the logistics team to prepare systems for shipment, ensuring hardware is cleaned, packaged, documented, and ready for transport.
Coordinate special shipping instructions for government facilities and other restricted destinations.
Support export compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle, including serving as the business classifier for assigned projects.
Ensure accurate classification of hardware, software, and technical data, and confirm all export‑controlled actions comply with ITAR, EAR, and Keysight procedures.
