About The Position

Some meetings on site at DOT and some at Halvik Halvik is currently seeking an expert Technical Project Manager with recent hands-on experience managing Salesforce and AWS implementations for the federal government. The PM shall ensure project success, facilitate open communication, conduct project meetings, act as the primary point of contact with the Government, and schedule activities. The PM shall champion the use of agile delivery techniques to plan and execute all tasks. The PM will lead efforts to prepare roadmaps, convert them into sprint plans outlining assignments with descriptions of work and the estimated number of hours to be worked. The PM will support requirements gathering and backlog grooming activities and oversee the technical implementation of product features. Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to demo solutions, and a strong teamwork ethic are essential.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • US Citizen. Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • PMP certification
  • At least 10 years of large-scale and diverse IT project management experience, with 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing complex system implementations for the federal government. Recent experience planning, initiating, and managing software development projects.
  • 4+ years managing IT projects using agile methodologies and approaches
  • Demonstrated experience managing software development and product releases utilizing DevSecOps toolchain in cloud environments
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and build consensus
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated resource management experience, including aligning skill sets with tasks, balancing technical workloads, and managing resource allocation effectively

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience leading and guiding the work of technical staff on a Salesforce implementation project
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a Product Owner/Product Manager role
  • Experience in Human Centered design approach and techniques

Responsibilities

  • Provide team leadership for the complete lifecycle of solution development and delivery
  • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and the technical team to ensure a shared understanding of product goals, user needs, and technical feasibility
  • Apply product-centric approaches to improve team problem-solving and value delivery
  • Create release schedules and roadmaps based on assessment recommendations
  • Develop and present detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Project ownership from planning to implementation through budgeting, hiring team members, sourcing suppliers, and planning the project release
  • Collaborate with the federal PM/COR for approval of all deliverables, project updates, changes, risk and any other actions identified by the COR
  • Conduct and/or oversee all aspects of the development and implementation of all project activities using Agile SDLC best practices, ceremonies, tools and techniques.
  • Interface with all areas that affect and/or are affected by the project, including end users, stakeholders, IT services and other contractors as appropriate
  • Establish and enforce technical delivery practices and standards that align with the customer's process
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met
  • Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
  • Plan and lead major technology assignments
  • Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
