Manages, mentors and coaches team members to help improve team skills and gain experience. Deputises for Head of Data and Analytics when necessary.
Requirements
- Strong data engineering experience using Python and SQL.
- Strong technical communication skills.
- Ability to understand and clarify ambiguous requirements from business stakeholders.
- Initiative to persistently engage stakeholders and find solutions to execute complex technical projects.
- Ability to quickly synthesize and apply new information in a rapidly changing and highly specialized environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently yet open and collaborative.
- Manages and influences Key/Senior stakeholders.
- Track record of delivering well-engineered solutions using best practices such as TDD CI/CD, Peer review.
- Experience of working in a similar role on a large programme.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building ML models and pipelines.
- Experience in real estate, architecture, or construction industry.
- Experience building data analytics and business intelligence solutions.
- Experience of implementing big data/analytics services.
- Previous experience in the construction sector is advantageous but not essential.
- Personal effectiveness e.g. stakeholder management, effective communicator
Responsibilities
- Overall technical design of data lake/data warehouse working alongside data architecture team.
- Ensuring best practice and governance are adhered to.
- Providing comprehensive use of services and tools to ingest, egress and transform data from multiple sources.
- Managing and securing the flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Building and optimizing data flows for use across the organisation.
- Building robust end-to-end systems with long-term maintenance and support in mind.
- Maintaining expert knowledge of technology platforms and looking to implement new innovations and features.
- Collaborating with the data architecture team to scope out changes to data and information architecture.
- Building strong relationships and engagement with software engineering partners to successfully transition deliverables into service.
