About The Position

The School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Technical Manager to lead its technical team and oversee a range of significant and complex technical activities that play a critical role in supporting the delivery of teaching and research program outcomes. This role involves providing strategic and day-to-day leadership across the School’s technical services, ensuring the effective operation of laboratories, specialist facilities, and technical support functions. The manager will deliver high-level, professional technical services to support academic staff, students, and onsite facilities, including laboratory and facility operations, while ensuring a compliant and safe operating environment. Working closely with the School Manager and the Academic Lab Coordinator, the Senior Technical Manager will be key in planning, coordinating, and enhancing technical operations to meet the evolving needs of the School’s teaching and research programs. The position also entails leading and mentoring the technical team, fostering a collaborative, service-focused culture, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality support.
