Corbion is seeking a Sr. Technical Engineer to join our North American IT Infrastructure team based at our Lenexa, KS office. Leveraging our advanced capabilities in fermentation and preservation technology, we help customers differentiate their products in diverse markets ranging from food and animal nutrition to home & personal care, pharmaceuticals, electronics, medical devices, and bioplastics.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience implementing, supporting, and administering enterprise infrastructure (servers, networking, backups, and virtualization) in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking, including Cisco wireless technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of OT environments, implementation of SCADA systems, Firewall, and proxy systems. Equitable knowledge of IT/OT segregation concepts.
  • Experience with telecommunications and unified communications solutions (SIP Trunks, VoIP, and front-end unified responsibilities applications).
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms(VMware, Hyper-V, HPE-Morpheus, and related infrastructure systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Veeam backup solutions, hardened repositories, and cloud replication.
  • Working knowledge of security best practices, including patch management, endpoint protection, backup/recovery, and basic threat detection controls.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with regional and global IT teams; comfortable working across diverse cultures and time zones.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Foundational project management skills (planning, coordination, and stakeholder communication).
  • Foundational knowledge on IA models, IA Agents, and IA Infrastructure Automation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

  • Relevant certifications preferred (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Veeam, RedHat, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Configure, implement, and maintain regional IT infrastructure across North America, including servers, network components, telephony, and virtualization platforms.
  • Serve as technical lead for infrastructure projects by defining requirements, developing technical specifications, and providing implementation guidance.
  • Establish and maintain infrastructure standards and documentation to support consistent implementation across sites.
  • Administer and maintain infrastructure equipment and services, including monitoring performance, applying security patches, and managing upgrades in alignment with company standards.
  • Coordinate with global network and security teams to plan and implement changes in a hybrid Linux/Windows environment.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes and support endpoint protection and threat detection controls.
  • Partner with external vendors and suppliers to coordinate service delivery, support, and maintenance for infrastructure systems.
  • Support end-user services by coordinating incident and request fulfillment with the service desk, meeting agreed service levels, and providing SOPs and guidance.
  • Provide VIP and executive support as needed (e.g., Board, HR, and other business-critical stakeholders).
  • Deploy and reinforce global security policies across North American sites; contribute to continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs.
