About The Position

The Senior Tax Manager – Partner Track oversees complex tax engagements, ensures high technical accuracy, manages client relationships, develops staff, and plays a key role in business development, positioning the candidate for partnership consideration within 2–3 years.

Requirements

CPA certification required.
Minimum of ten years of public accounting experience.
Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
Strong decision-making skills with initiative and independent judgment.
Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective under pressure.
Proven ability to manage a heavy workload with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Provide final technical review on tax returns and related documents across the client base.
Research complex tax issues and develop effective recommendations.
Remain current on tax law changes and evolving accounting procedures.
Plan, schedule, and manage client engagements to ensure timely completion.
Communicate proactively with clients to support their best interests and long-term relationships.
Direct and support staff by setting objectives, managing budgets, and fostering a positive, high-performance environment.
Oversee quality control and evaluate personnel performance.
Assign, track, and manage tasks and projects for staff and supervisors.
Mentor and develop team members in alignment with firm growth goals.
Build and maintain an internal and external network to support business development and new client opportunities.
Manage billing, collections, WIP monitoring, aging, and write-downs.
Participate in and help facilitate internal CPE and firm training initiatives.
