About The Position

Senior Tax Accountant Are you a motivated and experienced tax professional looking to make a lasting impact in the accounting field? Join a dynamic team dedicated to helping clients navigate the world of tax planning and compliance. This opportunity is with one of our valued clients seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial services. This role offers a competitive salary range of $65,000-$90,000 annually, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. In this position, you’ll leverage your expertise to prepare and review federal and state tax returns for various clients, including LLCs, S Corporations, C Corporations, trusts/estates, tax-exempt entities, individual taxpayers, and multi-state businesses. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to provide insightful tax planning and advice, helping clients make informed financial decisions. This is an on-site, in-person in Western New York.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure.
  • 3+ years of tax preparation and planning experience, with proven success.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex tax information.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file federal and state tax returns for diverse entities.
  • Advise clients on tax planning to support their financial goals.
  • Review the work of junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Stay current with federal and state tax laws, sharing insights with clients as needed.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, addressing tax-related questions and proactively solving issues.
  • Manage multiple tax projects, adhering to timelines and quality standards.
