About The Position

We are seeking a skilled hands-on Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team and lend their expertise to support through the next phase of our growth. This position will report to the Group Controller and is expected to work with minimum supervision to become the financial and accounting expert in his/her responsible functions. This role requires attention to detail, sensitivity to meeting deadlines, advanced critical thinking skills, and a commitment to process improvement. The weekly work schedule requires an office presence Monday through Friday. with additional hours during peak times. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft MS Excel skills
  • Demonstrate business acumen with a proven ability to identify trends and opportunities and make recommendations for improvement
  • Strong analytical skills, including an inquisitive approach to tackling projects
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Exhibit strong work ethics and motivated self-starter attitudes
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Heavily involved in the month-end and close process, preparing recurring/ad hoc journal entries, balance sheet adjustments, allocations, and reversals for corporate and fund entities
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly valuations of portfolio investments following the firm’s valuation policy.
  • Collaborate with our external tax advisers on tax compliance, distribution calculations and other special projects to ensure timely filing of federal and state tax returns, including collection of K-1s from portfolio companies and distribution of K-1s, 1099s,1042s, etc.
  • Upload and consolidate financials and prepare supplemental reporting packages.
  • Reconcile and monitor, intercompany, and accrual accounts
  • Manage account reconciliation by ensuring accurate loading of monthly trial balances
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors and work with stakeholders to ensure timely fulfillment of auditors’ data requests.
  • Conduct variance analysis/commentary on financial statements and financial presentations
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies
  • Other assignments/responsibilities, as assigned
