Senior Talent Development Manager & Business Partner

RentSpreeSeattle, WA
7d$200 - $230Hybrid

About The Position

RentSpree is a fast-growing, profitable proptech company on a mission to make renting easier for everyone. We're a team of builders, problem-solvers, and culture-carriers who show up every day to create something meaningful, together. As we scale, we're doubling down on what's always driven us: talent, trust, and a culture of continuous growth. We're looking for a Senior HR/Talent Development Business Partner who is equal parts strategic partner, talent architect, and people developer. This is not a traditional HRBP role. Yes, you'll partner closely with leaders and managers, but your superpower is building capability and elevating talent. You'll shape how leaders lead, how talent grows, and how our culture scales as we do. Based in Seattle reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), and embedded with our team, you'll be the connective tissue between people strategy and day-to-day business reality — coaching managers, designing development experiences, career journeys, and building the systems that make great people even better. This role is based in our Seattle, WA office, with an expectation of 3-4 days per week on-site (Mondays–Thursdays). Fridays are remote. We believe in the power of in-person connection for coaching, culture, and collaboration, while respecting the value of focused, flexible work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with meaningful depth in learning & development, organizational development, or leadership coaching
  • Proven experience as an HRBP or senior L&OD people partner in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment; high-tech, small to mid-sized companies preferred
  • A genuine passion for developing people and building the conditions where talent thrives
  • Strong coaching instincts — you know how to ask the right questions, hold space, and comfortably and constructively challenge thinking
  • Confidence designing and facilitating workshops, programs, and learning experiences for managers and leaders
  • The ability to think strategically and execute practically — you're comfortable in ambiguity, working independently, roll your sleeves up high and are motivated by building
  • Exceptional communication skills — open, honest, and courageous; you say the hard things with care and create space for others to do the same
  • A natural culture carrier — you model collaboration, accountability, and pride of ownership in how you show up every day, not just in the programs you build
  • Sharp critical and strategic thinker — you connect business context, people data, and organizational dynamics to develop solutions that are both smart and practical
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills — you use data to inform decisions and communicate impact clearly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with organizational design, change management, and workforce planning preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and continuously refine learning programs that build skill, deepen capability, and drive performance across teams
  • Lead organizational development initiatives including team effectiveness, change management, and org design
  • Partner with leadership to identify capability gaps and build targeted development solutions — not off-the-shelf, but right-sized for where we are and where we're going
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning by embedding development into the rhythms of the business
  • Serve as a trusted coach and thought partner to managers and senior leaders, helping them navigate complexity, grow their teams, and lead with intention
  • Facilitate focused leadership development programs, team building, workshops, and cohort experiences that build practical, applicable and relevant skills and relationships
  • In tight partnership with our People Operations Manager, support managers through performance conversations, team dynamics, and critical people moments with confidence and care
  • Identify patterns across the business and proactively create tools, resources, and programs that scale great management
  • Partner with the CPO, People team, and business leaders to build and sustain high-performing teams: attracting, growing, and retaining top talent
  • Drive career framework clarity, helping employees and managers understand what growth looks like and how to get there
  • Support workforce planning in partnership with our Head of Talent Acquisition, succession conversations, and internal mobility to build depth and bench strength across the organization
  • Use data and qualitative insights to identify talent risks and opportunities before they become problems
  • In partnership with our head of Employee Experience, be a visible, active steward of RentSpree's culture, modeling and reinforcing values in every interaction, program, and decision
  • Champion open, honest, and courageous communication across the organization, creating the conditions where hard conversations happen early, directly, and constructively
  • Build and sustain a culture of collaboration, pride of ownership, and accountability, where people take initiative, follow through, and hold themselves and each other to a high standard
  • Partner with leaders to identify and close culture gaps, strengthen team cohesion, and ensure the employee experience reflects who we say we are
  • Bring energy and intentionality to culture-building moments, from onboarding to milestones to how we handle adversity together
  • In tight partnership with our Head of People Operations, serve as a trusted advisor to your client groups, deeply understanding their business, goals, and team dynamics
  • Partner on organizational design, structure, and headcount decisions with a strategic lens
  • Apply critical and strategic thinking to people opportunities, connecting dots across data, business context, and human dynamics to develop solutions that are both thoughtful and practical
  • Influence culture intentionally, reinforcing values, driving engagement, and building belonging across a hybrid team (in Seattle, remote US home offices, and Bangkok)
  • Collaborate with the broader People team on cross-functional and collaboration initiatives, programs, and priorities
