(ONSITE Seal Beach, CA) The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a strategic talent advisor to business leaders, driving full-cycle recruitment initiatives across corporate, scientific, manufacturing, and commercial functions at Dendreon. This role is responsible for developing proactive workforce-aligned recruiting strategies, building robust passive talent pipelines, and delivering exceptional candidate experiences in a highly competitive biotech market. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist leads complex and critical searches, leverages advanced recruiting technologies, and influences talent acquisition best practices across the organization. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures compliance, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making throughout the hiring lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience required.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting scientific, technical, manufacturing, and/or leadership roles within biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in sourcing and engaging passive candidates in competitive markets.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered sourcing tools, talent intelligence platforms, CRM systems, and advanced ATS technology preferred.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and align talent strategies to business priorities.
  • Advanced sourcing and talent mapping expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance in recruiting.
  • High level of analytical capability with the ability to translate recruiting data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • High degree of initiative, accountability, and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Talent Advisory Partner with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to align recruiting strategies with business objectives and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Provide consultative guidance on job scoping, organizational design considerations, market intelligence, and competitive hiring trends within biotech and life sciences.
  • Advise hiring managers on talent availability, compensation positioning, and strategic trade-offs in competitive markets.
  • Influence hiring decisions through atructured assessment methodologies and data- driven insights.
  • Design and execute long-term passive candidate engagement strategies for scientific, GMP manufacturing, technical, commercial, and corporate roles.
  • Build and maintain forward-looking talent pipelines for critical and niche positions.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques, including talent mapping, competitive intelligence research, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Develop targeted outreach strategies that effectively communicate Dendreon’s mission, innovation, and growth trajectory.
  • Maintain ongoing engagement with high-potential candidates to support succession and future hiring needs.
  • Track and analyze pipeline health metrics to ensure readiness for evolving business demands.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes from intake consultation through offer acceptance and onboarding transition.
  • Manage multiple complex and hard-to-fill requisitions simultaneously while maintaining quality and timeliness.
  • Implement structured, competency-based interview processes to ensure consistent and equitable candidate evaluation.
  • Deliver a high-touch, professional candidate experience that reinforces Dendreon’s employer brand.
  • Design and implement structured interview tools and provide guidance to supervisors, managers, and executives on effective interviewing practices, ensuring alignment with organizational competencies and hiring standards.
  • Partner with HR and Compensation to develop competitive, equitable, and market-informed offer recommendations.
  • Lead offer discussions and negotiations, particularly for senior-level or specialized roles.
  • Guide candidates through compensation, benefits, and organizational alignment discussions.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO and OFCCP requirements as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation within the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Promote inclusive and equitable hiring practices aligned with company values and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor recruiting performance metrics including time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, and diversity indicators.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to HR and business leadership.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance scalability and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to workforce analytics discussions and talent forecasting initiatives.
  • Leverage AI-enabled sourcing tools, talent intelligence platforms, CRM systems, and automation technologies to enhance recruiting outcomes.
  • Evaluate emerging recruiting technologies and recommend improvements to TA systems and processes.
  • Integrate predictive analytics and digital engagement strategies into passive candidate outreach efforts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ATS utilization and recruitment technology optimization.
  • Model high standards of professionalism, accountability, and candidate advocacy.
  • Contribute to cross-functional talent initiatives and strategic HR projects.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support evolving business needs.
