About The Position

The following job description is for the Project Leader for MRO operations at BMW Manufacturing. This position is responsible to manage SAP requirements, projects, compliance, and correct functionality of system. Project Leader also manages all activities related to development of training curriculum for new associates in operations, as well as inventory management. Additionally, act as support for Team Leaders.

Requirements

SAP experience in Logistics
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills
Problem solving skills
Strong technical and business knowledge
High level of initiative
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and minimum twelve months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Ability to obtain forklift license.

Responsibilities

Manage SAP dashboards.
Research and disposition parts exceptions
Lead efforts to locate missing parts.
Ensure proper systematic material movements.
Project planning and project support for SAP changes and upgrades.
Mentor, train, support and solve problems in SAP for BLG end users sitewide.
Initiate system best practices and continuous improvement activities.
Ensure proper training of Hall Attendants and Specialists. Training includes but is not limited to:
Storeroom operations
SAP/WMS systems
Put away process
Cycle counts
Order requisitions/Goods issuing
Escalate additional training needs to management.
Inventory management/Parts verification.
Perform scanning audits.
Prepare and submit all reports and KPI’s as assigned by management.
Lead investigation into operational/system issues.
Lean management.
Oversee site projects as identified by management.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
