About The Position

As a Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer, you will help bring complex hardware systems to life. You’ll plan and execute integration and testing activities that support the THAAD Ground program—delivering critical capabilities for defense missions. Your work will span development through production, ensuring systems perform reliably when it matters most. Lockheed Martin Space designs and builds advanced satellites and spacecraft that support government and commercial missions. These systems enable global communication, improve weather forecasting, support navigation, and help protect critical operations worldwide. In this role, you’ll support the THAAD Ground program—helping ensure reliable performance of systems that contribute to missile defense and national security.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, integration, and testing
  • Strong attention to detail, including creating technical documents, test plans, and presentations
  • Clear communication skills, including presenting technical information to leadership and customers
  • Comfortable participating in and presenting during program reviews
  • Ability to work onsite across multiple facilities in Huntsville, Alabama

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Certified Test Conductor or Certified Principal Engineer Experience with missile defense system hardware integration and checkout
  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency programs
  • Experience developing detailed hardware tests and procedures
  • Experience working in Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) environments
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and specifications
  • Experience supporting Failure Review Boards or Change Control Boards
  • Familiarity with tools such as SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, JIRA, or similar systems
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or projects

  • Provide technical oversight for hardware assembly, integration, and testing
  • Lead and support teams executing integration and test activities
  • Develop and review technical documents, test plans, and presentations
  • Present program status and technical results to leadership and customers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Support program reviews and ensure alignment with customer requirements
