About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead complex, mission-critical engineering efforts supporting the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), the Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal agency partners. In this role, you will drive a multi-disciplinary systems engineering approach to ensure the timely, accurate delivery of GEOINT capabilities across the enterprise. This is a high-impact position operating at the Major Systems Acquisition level, integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces across organizational and agency boundaries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering or a related technical/scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or another related STEM discipline.
  • Equivalent additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, 4 additional years' with no degree, 2+ additional years' with a non-STEM degree.
  • 12+ years of experience in government or industry supporting: DoD/IC Acquisition Process Requirements Process PPBES Process
  • Systems engineering of large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures
  • Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudication, or ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field.
  • Working knowledge of: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages Digital Engineering processes and tools Software Development Frameworks
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
  • Documented experience in the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) domain.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as: ACSM ASCE ASPRS OGC SAREM USGIF
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), geomatics, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Mid-level and Junior Systems Engineers across requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test & evaluation, maintainability, and analysis.
  • Guide the planning and traceability of: User and mission requirements System and architecture requirements Procedures and problem resolution efforts
  • Evaluate and improve cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints.
  • Translate mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and actionable solutions.
  • Support requirements analysis and allocation to system architecture components and executing programs.
  • Develop solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies
  • Perform systems integration across complex System-of-Systems and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments (cloud, on-premises, and hybrid).
  • Conduct: Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) Courses of Action (CoAs) Trade Studies Engineering Assessments
  • Support Government stakeholders in: Strategic technical planning Project management Performance engineering Risk management Interface design
