Here is what you will need: Minimum of 7 years experience managing VMware, NetApp, and Microsoft Backoffice environments is required. Applicable professional certifications highly desirable. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline is highly desirable. Formal training and/or experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS, etc) is desirable. Prefer candidate to hold a VCP, MCSE, and any other applicable certifications. Demonstrable ability to effectively troubleshoot complex problems with minimal information Ability to effectively develop, implement, and maintain business continuity, disaster recovery, and security systems to ensure high-availability of systems Knowledge and understanding of networking technologies Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of server technologies, including security systems, operating systems, management tools and platforms, and hardware platforms Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to interact effectively with physicians, clinical staff, management, and vendors Effective change management and project management skills A team player, with the ability to bring new ideas to the team and to openly and regularly share knowledge with the team. A history of bringing solutions to the business in a proactive manner Knowledge of healthcare technology needs, particularly in the radiology discipline A Day in the Life of a Senior Systems Engineer: Provide services and support for the following areas: Primary responsibility for designing, managing, and supporting the Microsoft Server environment including Exchange, SQL, AD, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, and SharePoint. As well as other various Windows and Linux servers. Responsible for VMware infrastructure, storage and Microsoft Backoffice environments across multiple locations. Responsible for bringing new and innovative technologies and ideas to the business. Responsible for the documentation and configuration control of systems, with a primary goal of ensuring highly-available systems. Has overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with security standards, patch management, business continuity/disaster recovery, and capacity planning while overseeing or performing daily maintenance and monitoring tasks. Install and configure a wide array of system hardware and software. A systems thinker who is able to see the "big picture" while still maintaining the various components. Provide after-hours and on-call coverage for IT systems as well as serve as a tier 3 escalation on off-call weeks.
