BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in support to our development efforts in our Terminal High Area Altitude Defense (THAAD) Missile Seeker program. This position will support systems engineering aspects of the THAAD Development program activities, including the interfacing with the other engineering disciplines, understanding the system requirements, creating and reviewing reports and streamlining processes. Our engineers are members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on developing cost-effective systems that meet the needs of our customers. Candidates should be comfortable working with teams of all sizes and enjoy a mix of creative design work, mentoring the next generation of protégés, developing White Papers, presenting internally and externally, and leading test events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science and at least 4 years' experience
  • Experience translating customer and internal requirements to drawings for parts, cables and test stand equipment
  • Proficient in Autocad or Creo
  • Ability to draft electrical schematics & create Bill of Material (BOM) for assembly drawings

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanics preferred
  • Knowledgeable in Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Capable of creating and maintaining Interconnect Drawings
  • Familiar with various assembly levels included in level break down diagrams
  • Experience building up cable assemblies which interface with test equipment
