The Role The SaaS Collaboration Platforms (SCP) organization provides a broad set of technology products and services to GM Software & Services. Within SCP, the Self‑Service Automation Tools team manages the enterprise password management platform ( 1Password ) and builds day‑two automation for systems administrators—covering patching, release management, application restarts, password rotations, and other intricate orchestrations. The Self‑Service Automation Tools team has established a strong portfolio of capabilities that have transformed IT—and we’re just getting started. We’re looking for an engaged, high‑energy engineer with a broad toolset and modern development experience to help carry the team forward toward GM’s vision. You will be a key owner of GM’s enterprise credential management and automation capabilities, responsible for secure credential storage, best‑practice vault management, and driving adoption across the enterprise. You’ll help manage and integrate the 1Password SaaS platform with GM systems, design automation workflows (including AI‑assisted experiences), and deliver self‑service capabilities that make IT more secure and efficient. You’ll also contribute to our security lifecycle by ensuring third‑party applications and operating systems align to GM’s IT Statement of Technical Direction. You’ll work with a team of dedicated engineers and help nurture a culture of integrity, innovation, forward‑thinking, accountability, and inclusivity.
