About The Position

Amazon Leo ,is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirements: Due to the need to access certain federal controlled information, you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. We are seeking a Senior Systems Development Engineer to lead the technical implementation and integration of Amazon's labor management and performance tracking system for Project Kuiper's rapidly growing manufacturing operations. This role will be critical in establishing robust systems integration between systems including Kuiper's existing SAP/MES platform. The successful candidate will work closely with our TPM and business stakeholders to deliver a solution that streamlines performance feedback, attendance tracking, and safety compliance while meeting Kuiper's unique security and export control requirements. This will form the foundation of further integrations supporting Kuiper's data-driven, quality first approach.

Requirements

  • Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with distributed systems at scale
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical architecture and implementation of integrations with multiple systems (Labor Management, ERP, MES, other sources)
  • Design and implement secure data pipelines for performance metrics, attendance data, and feedback systems
  • Develop APIs and interfaces for cross-system communication
  • Implement reporting and analytics capabilities to support data-driven decision making
  • Ensure all implementations meet Kuiper's security and export control requirements
  • Provide technical guidance for system configuration and customization
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
