We are seeking a Senior Systems Design Engineer or Senior Systems Design Analyst for the System Realization and Resilience Group in the Force Projection Sector. We provide vital engineering design and analysis expertise to systems engineering and system development efforts to support nationally important strategic deterrence capabilities for the Navy and Air Force. As a member of our team, you will develop and assess technical design requirements, develop resilient and modular architectures, conduct detailed design analysis, build and modify analysis tools, develop analytics and conduct engineering and performance analysis / assessment for strategic weapons systems and related development programs. With your help, we will remain at the forefront of strategic weapon systems engineering for the Force Projection Sector. As a Senior Systems Design Engineer... You will utilize digital engineering tools, physics/logistics/models/simulations to analyze weapon system capabilities, architectures, designs, Government and Contractor models, and to assist in the development and analysis of current and future weapon systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide extensive and detailed engineering thought leadership and expertise focusing on architecture and analysis, technology and design assessment, system and performance modeling, risk and reliability assessments, and related critical analysis of test & evaluation efforts for strategic deterrent systems. Using digital tools and engineering models, you will: Conduct or participate in the technical and engineering analysis and review of technical work products, designs, change proposals, and proposed capability enhancements. Provide engineering domain expertise while leading/coordinating research, studies, and analysis on current and future weapons system capabilities and performances as well as provide supporting data and associated recommendations to advise program sponsors. Deliver formal presentations to sponsors and supporting contractors, and effectively communicate proposed concepts/solutions and analysis results. You will produce reports that bring together concept definitions, requirements, analysis results, and technical recommendations. Core Expectations: You are an "engineer's engineer". Candidate must possess a proven track record of significant engineering design experience with a deeply technical foundation in the application and integration of multiple disciplines. This includes the demonstrable use of physics-based models, logistics-based analysis, applied statistics, materials science, and advanced mathematics to define, analyze, and solve complex problems. Candidates must have a working knowledge of formal Systems Engineering principles and methodologies, as well as hands-on, working knowledge of Cameo for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
