About The Position

The Systems Architect is responsible for architecture design, implementation, and support lifecycles of enterprise core systems. This position is highly technical and requires skills in a variety of competencies. The individual in this role will collaborate with various teams to solve complex problems, enable the business, and implement strategies to enhance IT infrastructures. Work activities, updates, notes, and resolutions must be documented in the Enterprise ticketing system. Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for systems. Implement high risk changes using discipline and precision to avoid unnecessary outages. Knowledge of PCI DSS and implementation of controls to meet audit requirements. Ability to adapt quickly and implement technologies to changing business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in IT or related field and 5 years of related experience or HS/GED and 9 years
  • 6+ years of experience managing on premise private cloud and/or public cloud virtual infrastructures.
  • Expert knowledge of hyper-converged platforms and other storage related technologies.
  • Experience with various threat protection platforms and web application firewalls.
  • Expert knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, and software defined networks.
  • Experience with site reliability engineering and chaos engineering principals.
  • Expert knowledge of applications, servers, and middleware platforms.
  • Experience with scaling systems horizontally and vertically.
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise systems and platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of load balancing technologies.
  • Change management process experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for systems.
  • Implement high risk changes using discipline and precision to avoid unnecessary outages.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS and implementation of controls to meet audit requirements.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and implement technologies to changing business needs.
  • Manage engineering updates to support documentation, policies, procedures, and diagrams.
  • Define requirements and review vendor statement of work for various IT related projects.
  • Perform maintenance and notify applicable parties of maintenance activities.
  • Upgrade, migrate, or replace platforms before end of support is reached.
  • Provide 24x7x365 on-call rotation support.
