About The Position

ASRC Federal Technology Solutions LLC is seeking a cleared Senior Systems Administrator who will play a critical role in maintaining the availability, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure for our customer. This position is responsible for the administration of operating systems, networks, physical and virtual servers, cloud environments, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support both day-to-day operations and long-term IT initiatives. This role supports system monitoring, configuration management, software deployment, user account management, migration efforts, and compliance with organizational policies and federal regulations. The Systems Administrator - Senior will also provide end-user support, lead technical projects, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless IT service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and M365 administration.
  • Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
  • Active Secret clearance and ability to successfully complete a government issued background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certification(s) preferred.
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle or SQL Server installation and administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and tools such as ServiceNow is desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, Internet Information Services (IIS), and related infrastructure.
  • Perform system updates, patching, and software distributions using GPO and other deployment tools.
  • Monitor and tune systems for optimal performance and availability.
  • Manage user accounts, entitlements, and access controls across on-premise and cloud systems.
  • Maintain asset management databases for hardware and software inventory.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for system, network, and application issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), and wireless access points.
  • Act as first responder for endpoint decontamination following security incidents.
  • Support A/V systems and assist staff with presentations and technical training.
  • Apply system hardening techniques and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Conduct log analysis and monitoring trend reviews.
  • Support change control processes and maintain system documentation.
  • Lead or support technical projects involving system upgrades, migrations, or new deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide input on system architecture and performance improvements.
