JOB SUMMARY The right candidate will play a critical role as part of a fast-moving design team delivering innovative system software that is the heart of our revolutionary video casino games. They’ll bring a passion for software development, a sharp mind for solving complex problems, and a drive to build scalable, long-term solutions.

Requirements

A self-motivated, creative problem solver who thrives in a team setting
Strong communication skills and a helpful, organized mindset
Exceptional debugging and diagnostic abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of object-oriented development experience (Java preferred)
Proficiency in Java and web development
Experience with multi-threaded programming
Solid understanding of database design and performance optimization
Knowledge of common design patterns and idioms
Understanding of secure coding practices such as SEI Cert
Familiarity with version control systems (Perforce preferred)

Nice To Haves

C# and SQL development experience
Experience with virtualization platforms like VMWare

Responsibilities

Collaborate with QA, Field Service, Operations, and other teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Maintain and enhance existing codebases while ensuring backward compatibility
Design and implement reusable system software components (libraries, APIs, abstraction layers)
Write robust, high-performance code with a focus on maintainability
Communicate progress clearly and honestly to department leaders and stakeholders
