The Senior Project Manager (Survey) is responsible for managing large-scale, complex survey projects and supporting market growth through client relationship management and business development. This role provides leadership to project teams, oversees financial and technical performance, and serves as a trusted advisor to clients. The Senior Project Manager also mentors junior project managers, contributes to market strategies, and ensures projects align with the firm’s technical and business standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites and client meetings
  • 10+ years of progressive survey experience, including at least 4 years of project management responsibility
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects and client accounts

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license strongly preferred
  • Experience with business development, proposal leadership, and client presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior project managers and staff

Responsibilities

  • Lead management of large, complex, and multi-phase survey projects, ensuring delivery on scope, budget, schedule, and quality
  • Serve as primary client contact for major accounts, building and maintaining long-term relationships
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and change orders for high-value projects
  • Monitor and manage project financial performance, profitability, and risk
  • Coordinate and oversee project teams, including project managers, field crews, and technical staff
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and technical oversight to Project Managers and junior staff
  • Support the Market Director in developing market strategies and pursuing new opportunities
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and professional associations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, regulations, and quality assurance procedures
