About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Support Engineer to join our team. IT support and hardware deployment will be crucial to the successful execution of the Official Hospitality Program for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, CA. The Onsite Technology Team is responsible for the operation and support of all IT systems within the company. The Sr. Support Engineer will directly support all users in our office and remotely support other US offices as needed, by providing timely, high-quality desktop hardware, software, and mobile device troubleshooting, while demonstrating a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and responsiveness. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The Sr. Support Engineer is part of a global team with a vested interest in delivering excellent support and maintaining a consistently customer-centric mindset. This position will report to the Director of Onsite Technology.

Requirements

  • Postsecondary certificate or an associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technology support role
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Implementing policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflows.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and solving issues with applications and hardware across multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems, processes, and budgeting.
  • Experience in imaging/cloning software for large-scale deployments.
  • Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft Office productivity suite
  • Enterprise experience in deploying, managing, and supporting Microsoft Azure Active Directory, desktop and mobile OS systems: MS Office 365, Mac OS, Android, iOS, and Linux.
  • VPN Configuration and Administration
  • Enterprise Level AV Administration and Support
  • Set up and support mobile devices and desktop telecommunications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment within a high-profile project.
  • Licensed to operate a vehicle in California
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the ticketing, travel, or hospitality industry is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience working in a technology role in previous medium to large-scale events such as World Cups, and/or Commonwealth, Euros, and Olympic Games is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the helpdesk system for inbound issues & ensure all issues are logged and documented
  • Provide thoughtful end-user computing support for diverse business units and different locations
  • Collaborate with other TKO and On Location IT team members and groups on projects and operations
  • Maintain a flexible approach to work schedule with early starts and late finishes as rotating patterns, subject to business requirements, plus an element of on-call support in the evenings and weekends
  • Adherence to and enforcement of all information security protocols
  • Perform preliminary server administration and manage the network connectivity
  • Assist in hardware specifications for all technology equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Work closely with each Functional Area of the project to ensure each FA's technology needs are collected and presented to our corporate technology teams for assessment, procurement, allocation, and management in accordance with On Location's corporate technology standards and policies.
  • Work with internal technology equipment managers to ensure all equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and available for use throughout the project.
  • Work closely with our corporate procurement and technology teams to identify vendors for equipment needs and, if necessary, assist with contract negotiations.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the safe and secure configuration, deployment, and storage of all technology hardware and software.
  • Work closely with the Technology Procurement and Inventory Manager, along with Finance and Accounting, to ensure all vendors are onboarded with ongoing tracking of invoicing and payments for all vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of technology procurement and inventory management.
  • Help champion, deploy, and support new technologies to address business needs
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, integrate well at all levels and be able to work independently
  • A strong ability to remain focused with a professional and flexible attitude while multi- tasking
  • Willingness to recognize and recommend changes to support procedures and user guidance as part of ongoing improvement
