Senior Supply Chain Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist (Level 4) who will serve as the primary interface with all business units and functions on matters related to supply chain support and Position Responsibilities: Perform Supply Chain Execution Reviews for new business proposal offerings ensuring clear strategies with identified risk and mitigation plans for successful contract execution Participate in the development of supply chain execution related contract terms and conditions. Evaluate supply chain contract performance requirements Assess forecasts, Bills of Material accuracy, and ability to produce material Evaluate material lead times and capacities Facilitate the development of action plans with business units and supply chain functional teams Participate in Enterprise solutions Manage contract execution performance improvements and fulfillment Participate in Risk, Issue, & Opportunity mitigation plans Prevent and mitigate customer satisfaction issues Develop and maintain business events and process flows Optimize supply chain disruption and provide solution management to complex execution issues Represent BGS Supply Chain as a spokesperson for the organization

Requirements

  • Experience with materials management, supply chain analysis, and supply chain management
  • Experience developing solutions to complex issues that require ingenuity and innovation
  • Perform work with minimal direction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Understanding of inventory and order management systems, tools, and processes
  • Experience and ability to document, track, and communicate project status
  • Ability to create, analyze, and act upon material Line of Balance assessments
  • Proficiency and understanding of BGS Supply Chain systems, warehousing, transportation, and logistics requirements
  • Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices (e.g., unplanned event system, technical orders, kitting, overhaul and depot support)
  • Knowledge of provisioning process methodology (e.g., change authority, engineering configuration effectiveness, top-down breakdown analysis, Quantities Per Assembly [QPA], parts breakdown) to support production and product development
  • Knowledge of supply chain strategies (e.g., inventory reduction, parts kitting, supplier consolidation, optimum flow, lead-time reduction)
