What You Will Do: The Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations will be responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity. Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components. Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Execute business decisions fairly, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives. Bridge business objectives across (3) operating shifts. Be available on all shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement or closely related field OR an Associate's degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement or closely related field
  • In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED with 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement or closely related field
  • Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • Experience as a team lead/supervisor
  • Continuous improvement certificates/training such as 6 sigma practitioner/professional certification.
  • Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety principles
