About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager to provide office and technical leadership, project ownership, and client partnership across complex structural engineering projects. This role is well-suited for an experienced engineer who brings deep organizational and technical expertise, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style who is motivated to help grow and push the office forward. In this position, you will lead projects from pursuit and concept through construction, serve as a trusted advisor to clients and design partners, and play an active role in mentoring engineers and shaping the direction of the team. You will balance hands-on technical involvement with strategic project management, helping deliver high-quality, constructible solutions while supporting the long-term growth of the office and its people.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10 or more years of progressive structural engineering experience, including leadership of complex projects and direct client interaction.
  • Prior Colorado experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading design teams and managing project delivery from concept through construction.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and experience with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor staff, collaborate across disciplines, and represent the firm confidently with clients and partners.
  • Proven ability to balance technical depth, project management responsibilities, and multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project financials, schedules, and developing proposal responses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Project and Technical Leadership : Lead complex structural projects through all phases, ensuring technical excellence, quality control, and alignment with project goals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Contribute to Office and Practice Growth: Support business development efforts, project pursuits, and internal initiatives that strengthen technical standards, team culture, and long-term success.
  • Own Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted partnerships, guiding decision-making, and supporting repeat work and new opportunities.
  • Guide Design and Delivery: Oversee structural design development, drawing production, and specifications, applying advanced engineering principles and professional judgment to deliver efficient, practical solutions.
  • Mentor and Develop Engineers: Coach and mentor engineers at various stages of their careers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities through project work and collaboration.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with architects, contractors, owners, and internal team members to coordinate design efforts and support successful project outcomes.
