Were seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Lenexa, KS . This is a hands-on technical and leadership role where youll design and deliver innovative, complex structural solutions while mentoring engineers and helping build client relationships. Youll have the opportunity to work across markets and facilities that challenge convention from pharmaceutical manufacturing and mission-critical infrastructure to industrial and wastewater facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (required).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • 8+ years of experience in structural building design and/or industrial structures
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight
  • Demonstrated experience leading design efforts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Revit , AutoCAD , and/or Bluebeam
  • Self-starter mindset detail-oriented but always keeping the big picture in view.

Nice To Haves

  • S.E. license (especially in California or another state).
  • Experience developing new business or maintaining client relationships.
  • Existing client network (a plus, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Help lead and manage projects from concept through construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across our offices and markets.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Lead all aspects of structural design projects , ensuring quality, accuracy, and innovation.
  • Partner with architects and engineers on conceptual design development , both verbally and graphically.
  • Prepare or direct the creation of structural construction documents and calculations
  • Manage construction administration , including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of work prepared by other engineers.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships , fostering trust and repeat collaboration.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers to strengthen the teams overall capability.
