About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is working to once again transform the future of flight—designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. And because transformation begins from within, we’re seeking the people to drive it. So, calling all curious. Come ready to explore and you’ll find a place where your talent takes flight—beyond the borders of title, a country or your comfort zone. Bring your passion and commitment and we’ll welcome you into a tight-knit team that takes our mission personally. Channel your drive to make a difference into shaping an organization and an industry that’s evolving fast to the future. At Pratt & Whitney, the difference you make is on display every day. Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world's most advanced commercial and military turbine engines, is seeking an experienced structures engineer to join our organization in our Assembly Equipment Engineering Design group. As part of the P&W Assembly Equipment Engineering Design group, you will analyze custom tooling designs for assembly and disassembly operations on P&W development and production engines. You will collaborate with peers within the design group as well as with other disciplines such as Assembly Equipment Engineering – Project Engineers, Assembly Process Planners, and Product Development & Design Engineers to identify assembly equipment load requirements. You will combine mechanical design, structural mechanics, and engineering principles with computer aided design and finite element analysis to analyze newly designed assembly equipment in a critical role to creating functional, safe, reliable, and manufacturable assembly equipment. Produce structural assessments of assembly equipment for military and commercial engines with minimal guidance.
