What You Will Do Provide structures analytical support for commercial and military programs, with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine compressor components. This includes airfoils, rotors & shafts, cases, and actuation linkage systems.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
• The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in structural analysis, with problem solving skills using FEM for stress/deflection and vibration analyses.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and consistent record of collaboration, flexibility, innovation and initiative

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for preliminary & detailed design, through development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service.
• Cover validation testing (engine and rig) and data-reduction.
• Support in-service field investigations.
• Use FE and classical methods for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, containment, kinematic and optimization analyses.
• Document and present results to management and internal customers.
