About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Structural (Bridge) Project Manager located in the Bloomfield, NJ office, conveniently next to several major highways and not far from New York City. Experience with NJDOT and NJTA design standards and current state of practice such as accelerated bridge construction and prefabricated bridge elements are preferred. The successful candidate will manage structural led design projects that will include simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures and other miscellaneous structures). Bridge design work encompasses new and replacement bridges, bridge widening's, and bridge rehabilitation. Prior project management experience along with a strong understanding of associated disciplines and construction operations is desired. The candidate will be responsible to oversee all phases of project development including planning, scheduling, inspection, analysis, design, development of contract plans, cost estimates, and technical specifications and reports. Successfully leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and drafters along with coordination with clients will be required to complete assignments. The position also requires the candidate to be actively involved in business development including client management and responding to requests for proposals. The ability and willingness to mentor less experienced staff is required. Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferred)
NJ PE license
Experience working on bridge transportation projects
Ability to mentor less experienced staff
Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required
