The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead complex, high-impact technology sourcing initiatives and serve as a strategic partner to senior business stakeholders. This individual will support internal clients across all aspects of third-party supplier relationships, including sourcing strategy development, competitive sourcing events, contract negotiations, supplier risk management, and ongoing supplier performance management. The role will also help design, implement, and improve vendor management and governance frameworks across geographies to drive value, reduce risk, and align supplier strategies with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, finance, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, and/or sourcing or strategic sourcing for the relevant category.
  • Proven experience in IT procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing for a minimum of 8 years.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience with automated procurement solutions, RFPs, and e-auctions.
  • Understanding of IT categories such as software licensing, cloud services, hardware, and AI.
  • Deep understanding of software license models, associated impacts, and managing short- and long-term costs through stakeholder collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure to support stakeholder and project discussions.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience negotiating complex, long-term supplier agreements.
  • Experience in category and contract management, including negotiating financial and contractual terms while considering broader contract language that impacts technology spend.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior business stakeholders by delivering a high level of service, professionalism, and subject matter expertise.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with business unit priorities, enterprise objectives, and total cost of ownership considerations.
  • Analyze spend, research market trends, and develop long-term category strategies to support business goals.
  • Lead complex, high-value competitive sourcing processes end-to-end, including RFP, RFI, RFQ, and auction events as appropriate.
  • Lead complex negotiations for pricing, service level agreements, and contract terms to drive return on investment and total cost of ownership outcomes while managing risk.
  • Perform detailed financial, pricing, and business impact analyses.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage supplier relationships to ensure performance and compliance.
  • Conduct ongoing supplier due diligence and risk assessments, including identifying and mitigating supply chain risks through contractual provisions.
  • Proactively manage contract renewals and supplier performance issues.
  • Champion vendor management best practices and governance standards.
  • Prepare and deliver reporting for senior management.
  • Collaborate with global affiliates and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Play a leadership role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprise-wide vendor management and governance frameworks.
