This role will require 25 % of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAM: Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members. DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy and Attention to Detail: Is comfortable with working independently to manages one or more medium-scale programs. Possess extreme attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and strategic logic of analysis with minimal oversight. Is accountable for overall program process, results, and customer satisfaction. Complexity and Ambiguity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, undefined, and typically impact multiple workstreams, departments or specialties. Problems require detailed information gathering from multiple stakeholders and high-level strategic thinking to put structure to the situation and drive results. Organizational Impact: Participates in establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets. Develops new policies and procedures that enhance program management processes. Program decisions are generally recommended to higher level management. Financial and Quantitative Analysis: Possesses experience performing financial modeling, market research, and forecasting. Compiles and consolidates financial plans and able to distill findings and recommendations to management. Communication and Indirect Influence: Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher level management team. Influences across functions and businesses while balancing divergent objectives to gain cooperation of other parties on program objectives and support in driving program execution.

Requirements

  • Requires broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in one department.
  • Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the global strategic planning process for the Cardiac Ablation Solutions operating unit in close collaboration with the global and regional marketing and finance teams.
  • Monitors market, competitive, and clinical dynamics to distill and project the impact for the business’ global market and epidemiology models.
  • Develops and manages tools, templates, and processes to support the opportunity and feasibility review phases of the product development process.
  • May support acquisition proposals, recommend financial and nonfinancial strategic objectives and alternatives, and implement and maintain strategic and operational plans.
  • Plans and coordinates business reviews, resource allocations, organization structures, and financial analysis.
