About The Position

The Senior Strategic Partnerships Executive – Primax drives strategic growth through high-value partnerships in credit, debit, and payment solutions. This role owns the end-to-end partnership lifecycle—from market prospecting and executive engagement to deal execution and implementation oversight—while collaborating across internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage deep industry expertise and a consultative approach to expand Primax’s market presence, strengthen broker and partner relationships, and position our brand as a trusted advisor in the evolving payments.

Requirements

  • Twelve (12+) years of partnership experience in the payments, banking, or credit union industry required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Consulting, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
  • Must possess strong cold calling skills and have the ability to negotiate with and influence others
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions and interact effectively and positively with all levels of company and credit union personnel
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation computer software applications
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate strong reasoning and analytical skills
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management.
  • Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

Responsibilities

  • Help build and establish strong relationships with prospective partners, demonstrate executive presence with C-suite executive stakeholders, and deliver value to prospects by effectively communicating Primax's value to decision makers and influencers.
  • Identify and qualify potential partners for Primax’s payment, and card program solutions suite and other ancillary services
  • Grow existing partner relationships through cross-selling and upselling additional services such as portfolio optimization, fraud solutions, and digital enhancements.
  • Manage portions of the partnership cycle, including discovery calls, product overviews, and proposal preparation, under guidance from senior leadership.
  • Assist in expanding and maintaining accurate pipeline forecasts and opportunity tracking in CRM.
  • Stay current on banking trends, payment innovations, and compliance requirements to position Primax as a trusted advisor.
  • Represent Primax at banking conferences, trade shows, and industry events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Partners with marketing and sales operations to build and manage the end-to-end partnership process.
  • Work closely with the pricing and legal teams to structure and negotiate agreements that meet client needs while maintaining profitability.
  • Travel – Up to 40% travel to client sites, conferences, and regional events.
  • Review and update sales pipeline in CRM (Salesforce preferred), prioritize leads, and execute structured calling campaigns.
  • Respond promptly to lead referrals and RFPs to maintain momentum.
  • Conduct discovery calls and virtual or on-site meetings with prospective financial institutions.
  • Present formal proposals that include detailed pricing analyses and incentive packages, ensuring clear communication of Primax’s value proposition.
  • Work closely with executives to assist with revenue forecasting and strategize on upcoming opportunities.
  • Engage subject matter experts when necessary to support complex sales discussions.
  • Participate in regional and nationally coordinated sales campaigns.
  • Represent Primax at banking conferences, trade shows, and state league meetings to build brand awareness and strengthen industry relationships.
  • Maintain effective communication with prospects throughout the sales process, identifying and addressing challenges to secure commitments.
  • Ensure a smooth hand-off of new clients to Account Executives for ongoing relationship management.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments to position Primax as a trusted advisor.
  • Monitor progress toward annual revenue targets and contribute to achieving organizational growth objectives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
