About The Position

The Senior Strategic Engagements Specialist will support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Director’s Action Group (DAG). The DAG will provide senior executive support to the DHA Director and will consist of a dedicated team that performs forward-looking and related, strategic functions. The DAG will ensure the Director’s executive resources are aligned with the Director’s vision and strategy. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provides complete and integrated support of the DHA Director and the DAG through strategic communications, strategic engagements, protocols, and archives.
  • Provides support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the Director's Action Group (DAG).
  • Works closely with internal/external stakeholders to coordinate all aspects of upcoming meetings, events, and engagements centered around travel events & high-level local meetings/engagements.
  • Develop and execute strategic engagement plans to foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a roster of past and future engagement activities and provide weekly summary report, typically in a “5W” format or an AAR format
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners, government agencies, and other key Department of Defense stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact and action officer between the DAG and key stakeholders, conducting initial intake and review of all engagement request
  • Assist the DAG to develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey the organization's value proposition to stakeholders.
  • Establishes and maintains effective/professional liaison with counterparts across the DHA and other organizations in the DoD.
  • Demonstrates ability to author and/or construct notes, letters, invitations, and RSVPs IAW DoD regulations.
  • Manages client deliverables and tracks ongoing needs/requests of our team.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively within all levels of the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of corporate operations and product lines.
  • Demonstrated judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with diverse internal and external customers.
