About The Position

The Opportunity: Grow Your Career. The Senior Store Operations Improvement Specialist is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of new operational and technical systems applications and programs. This position is also responsible for leading the assessment, design, development and delivery of training documentation to support implementation and maintenance of new Store Operations systems applications. Develops detailed project plans and determines priorities and timeframes for completion of new Operation Improvement initiatives. Organizes and facilitates ongoing meetings to partner with the project team to identify and resolve any issues prior to project roll-out. Performs user testing on new systems applications and reviews applications to evaluate effectiveness and readiness before roll-out to the stores. Assesses and determines the training strategy needed to support the project roll-out, including the evaluation of training needs, the development of required training materials and documentation and the implementation of a detailed training plan and schedule. Partners with the appropriate internal departments to ensure facilitation of training to required Operational teams. Partners with the field Operational team to gather feedback on pilot project roll-outs and revises/updates training processes and procedural documentation to ensure successful implementation. Communicates new Store Operations processes and programs to the Field Operational teams and ensures effective execution by providing continuous problem solving, procedural and technical support Assists with the improvement of asset management and service, and helps to increase profitability by continuously engaging in and supporting Store Operational improvements. Serves as an internal consultant and Store Operations representative on Store Operational procedures, programs and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years retail management or systems project management experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of current Store System technologies.
  • Advanced computer skills including; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc.
  • Strong project support skills including maintaining detailed development plans for projects; understanding and applying principles of project control; ability to manage projects within one or more systems.
  • Good issue management skills; including an ability to “multi-task” and an ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities.
  • Intermediate to advanced communication skills including: written / grammatical (i.e. policies, procedures, letters, memos, booklets); verbal (communication with all levels of the organization).
  • Excellent time management; interpersonal skills including conflict management; information gathering skills; team building skills to build collaborative working relationships.
