Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of large-scale software services that revolutionize data analytics, with a focus on Machine Learning and Generative AI applications.
• Collaborate closely with technical leads to launch innovative solutions leveraging the power of large language models, agents and other advanced AI techniques.
• Navigate unexplored areas by prototyping and researching solutions for groundbreaking ML projects in BigQuery.
• Engage with product managers and customers to decipher requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications, while identifying opportunities to integrate ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Design and develop software services that leverage Generative AI to build new features in BigQuery.
• Deliver to shape the future of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data analytics by making AI accessible and impactful for our customers.
• Research and explore innovative solutions in the field of Generative AI and data analytics.
