Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Agentic Platform

As a key member of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for architecting and building Overjet’s Agentic AI platform from the ground up, reporting to our Head of Engineering. This role is best understood as a founding engineer for a new product line inside Overjet. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems
- Hands-on experience with building agentic AI systems or autonomous workflows in production
- Proven experience leading or owning 0→1 platform or product initiatives
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building backend or platform systems
- Experience deploying AI systems in enterprise environments with reliability and observability in mind
- Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and agent orchestration tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high-ownership mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical, and mission-focused environment
Responsibilities
- Architect and build a new Agentic AI platform from first principles
- Own end-to-end implementation of agentic systems, from orchestration through production deployment
- Drive core technical decisions and partner closely with engineering and product leadership
- Build production-grade systems that operate in regulated, enterprise environments
- Establish engineering standards, tooling, and best practices as the platform scales
- Collaborate with ML scientists, product managers, and enterprise stakeholders
- Mentor senior engineers and help shape the technical direction of the team
