Senior Staff Accountant We are seeking an energetic and talented Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team and report to the Assistant Controller. This role will own key accounting processes, support month-end close, and help strengthen financial operations as the company scales. This role offers meaningful exposure to advanced accounting topics and the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the finance and accounting function continues to mature. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)
  • Able to adapt to change and learn quickly, work independently and cross-functionally, and prioritize work to achieve objectives and timelines
  • Well organized, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proactive in finding discrepancies and their resolutions
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, make payments, and ensure proper recording in financials
  • Bill customers monthly/annually as required, collect and apply payments, and manage A/R aging
  • Apply US GAAP concepts to routine accounting transactions
  • Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting
  • Prepare assigned month-end close journal entries
  • Own recurring balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of close activities in accordance with the month-end close calendar
  • Identify month-end close inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors across audit/tax, banking/credit, and CRM
  • Assist with the creation of monthly financial reports
  • Assist with the completion of monthly variance analysis
  • Support system enhancements and accounting automation initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
