Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proven leadership and employee development abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on workflow.
  • Ability to commute to the primary work location and occasionally to other work locations within driving distance.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday.
  • Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and coordination of Finance Control Department operations.
  • Maintain an accounting system that aligns with regulations and accurately reflects the bank’s financial position.
  • Lead the preparation of financial and statistical reports for management, directors, and regulators.
  • Design and implement internal controls to protect the bank’s assets.
  • Manage the preparation and ongoing maintenance of the annual budget.
  • Oversee wire transfers, train staff, conduct reviews, and ensure department goals are achieved.
  • Prepare and record corporate tax calculations.
  • Evaluate financial trends and present findings to bank leadership.
  • Compile ESOP and 401(k) documentation for external auditors.
