About The Position

Acutronic is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Austin, TX. The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Aerospace Components Division by partnering closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and the Business Unit General Manager. This position is responsible for a broad range of accounting and financial activities that ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient financial operations. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in an accounting or financial role with at least five years in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in an accounting or financial role required A minimum of five years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Basic understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to understand and master complex ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or related project businesses preferred
  • Experience with government contracts, preferred
  • Experience with project cost accounting and percentage of completion revenue recognition strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, multi-entity bookkeeping and general ledger accounting activities for the Aerospace Components Division across multiple business units and locations
  • Post, review, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and process customer invoicing in accordance with established policies and timelines
  • Enter and maintain financial data, including journal entries, within the ERP system
  • Assist with customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account status
  • Complete bank account reconciliations and investigate variances as needed
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
  • Manage accounts receivable activities and assist with customer collections efforts
  • Complete a variety of accounting and administrative support tasks, including processing employee expense reports and preparing ad-hoc financial and operational reports
