About The Position

L3Harris Technologies has an opening for a Senior Specialist, Joint Commercial Plans for an important National Security Program.  The successful candidate will support a high performing team of government and contractor professionals to develop, deliver, and manage foundational, tradecraft planning activities for space operations missions.  The candidate will be pivotal in supporting the health and safety of multiple ground and space assets and the infrastructure nodes.  The successful candidate will have experience with space operations, COA, and TTP execution, and the Space Warfighting mission. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated the ability to operate in a dynamic and high energy environment with constantly changing tasking and priorities. Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance w/CI Poly required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 6 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with formal joint plans training in Operational Design, the Joint Planning Process (JPP) or analogous Service planning process (example: Army MDMP).
  • Experience with SDA software solutions (e.g., STK, Free Flyer, GMAT, Orekit, ASW, SPADOC, Nyx/Osiris, or equivalent).
  • Experience in either Space Domain Awareness operations or Space Protect and Defend operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting Joint Commercial Operations, Combined Space Operations, or similar mission sets.
  • Familiarity with U.S. and allied space policies, command and control processes, and operational constructs.
  • Knowledge of orbital warfare and electronic warfare.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate commercial capabilities into USSC, S4S, and CD 1-15 operational plans and orders, including campaign, crisis, and contingency plans.
  • Integrate commercial capabilities into other geographic and functional combatant command (CCMD) plans.
  • Integrate commercial capabilities into exercise, wargaming, and experiment plan-ning to promote representation of joint planning equities/functions and promote operational plan connectivity in exercises, wargames, and experiments.
  • Participate in JCO activities that have joint planning touchpoints and/or a need for a technical problem solving skillset.
  • Create mission plan products and other supporting materials for high-interest JCO activities/events.
  • Integrate external organizations into JCO mission plans to include, but not limited to, operational Deltas, NSDC, JNWC, CSpOC, S4S, CIC, and international partners.
  • Help inform gap analysis through strategy-to-task methodologies.
  • Integrate international partners into JCO planning efforts.
  • Support development and execution of joint plans training for commercial part-ners, JCO, CIC, and other external entities as required.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for joint planning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in astrodynamics and orbital analysis.
  • Support various JCO Weapons and Tactics initiatives and projects.
  • Support development of test plans and analysis of test results based on joint planning processes and methodologies.
  • Support operational assessment, mission planning, and decision support.
  • Collaborate with mission partners, operators, and technical experts to support JCO activities.
  • Contribute to studies and projects related to Space Protect and Defend operations.
  • Prepare and deliver technical briefings, reports, and recommendations to leadership and mission stakeholders.
  • Use Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable insights.
  • Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering technical content to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a joint, inter-agency, or multi-partner environment.
