About The Position

This role is for a customer-obsessed builder passionate about helping customers achieve their full potential by leveraging AWS as their strategic platform for Generative AI and ML workloads. The Senior Generative AI & ML Specialist Solutions Architect is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise and executive-level customer engagement. The AGS Specialist organization, part of the customer-facing NAMER sales organization, drives revenue and accelerates adoption of cloud and partner services across diverse customer segments. The team works to solve complex business challenges, developing and executing go-to-market plans. This position contributes across the full lifecycle of AWS customer initiatives, from shaping new service concepts to accelerating adoption of established offerings. The role involves translating customer business challenges into solutions leveraging AWS, defining, designing, and deploying targeted architectures to accelerate adoption of AWS Generative AI and ML services. The architect will engage with senior engineers, architects, product leaders, data scientists, and executives at strategic enterprise customers to influence architectural decisions and provide feedback to AWS product teams. Collaboration with AI ecosystem partners, including third-party foundation model providers, is also key. The role includes building proof-of-concepts for AI- and agent-enabled applications and providing direct feedback to service teams. The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical background and business acumen to lead complex engagements with large enterprises, with hands-on expertise in traditional ML concepts and current areas like LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, AI system evaluation, prompt engineering, agents, and AIOps. They must be able to credibly advise senior technical and executive stakeholders on architectural trade-offs, risks, and long-term strategy. Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

Responsibilities

• Working with customers’ development and data science teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs. After understanding their needs, you will design solutions that make the best use of the AWS cloud platform and AWS AI/ML Services including SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon AgentCore, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Quick, Amazon Personalize, and other AI/ML services.
• Partner with SAs, Sales, Business Development and the AI/ML Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment in the AMERICAS for Amazon SageMaker and related services that support GenAI use cases.
• Thought Leadership – Evangelize AWS ML services and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent, etc.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers and the Amazon Bedrock or other service teams to provide customer driven product improvement feedback.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of GenAI related subject matter experts in the AMERICAS.
