About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Material Operations Inventory is responsible for overseeing raw material and consumable inventory across the Devens, MA Cell Therapy Facility from the time it is received into SAP to the time that it is consumed, destroyed, or otherwise dispositioned. Part of this responsibility includes fulfilling corporate finance requirements as they relate to inventory accuracy including execution of and report out of the site’s cycle count program. The role covers inventory for commercial and clinical processes within the multiproduct Cell Therapy Facility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management is preferred
  • Experience in a commercial biotech facility is preferred
  • Cycle counts, material disposal, and other inventory management workflows within ERP system
  • Microsoft Office Applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ERP system knowledge and experience (SAP is preferred)
  • Experience in a commercial biotech environment is preferred
  • Cold chain material receipt and handling
  • Experience and familiarity with the Quality Management System and documentation of change control, deviations, and CAPA is preferred
  • High school Diploma / GED
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may substitute

Nice To Haves

  • Additional post-secondary education resulting in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
  • Certification in CPIM, CSCP, and/or CLTD

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of inventory cycle count program including creation of cycle counts to execute in SAP across various functional areas within the Cell Therapy Facility
  • Report out on cycle count status and accuracy at Tier meetings and other business/operations forums
  • Monitor raw material expiry and manage disposal through creation of and execution of disposal orders in SAP
  • Assist with execution of cycle count, material disposal, and other material operations tasks as needed including executing material goods receipt and material kitting operations
  • Collaborate with Warehouse and other area management to continuously improve inventory storage and management practices at the site (i.e. Kanban, flammable, stockroom, VMI)
  • Develop, draft, and revise site-based inventory management SOP within the Document Management System and provide insights into global SOP and SAP work practice updates and new document creation
