This role involves performing and monitoring the management and procedural application of manual and/or automated inventory control actions for C-32A, C-40B/C, and C-37A/B aircraft. The specialist provides customer service, including issuing and receiving parts to contracted maintenance personnel and FSRs, tracking all issue-and-receive data in the BSI by serial number, and collaborating with logistics peers on and off site. Responsibilities also include computing and accumulating data for analysis, performing inventories, ensuring timely correction of discrepancies, and preparing, analyzing, and evaluating reports, procedures, and policy data. The position requires obtaining material for equipment modification, periodic component exchange, and bills of material in support of maintenance. It involves inspecting and identifying property, checking the condition of received property, comparing property with orders, and issuing/transferring property from various points through customer coordination. The specialist will also control the issue of classified, sensitive, and controlled items, obtaining custody or document receipts, and working closely with the Greenville program office and the Big Safari Depot for component repairs. Essential functions include maintaining data integrity, providing detailed research for resolutions, monitoring and running reports for decision-making, managing and updating calibration information, and monitoring overdue assets to ensure quick return. The role operates autonomously, may mentor lower-level peers, tracks individual metrics, and collaborates with Logistics Management to optimize logistical concerns. The specialist must be able to work with multiple applications, maintain a clean and safe working environment, be a team player, possess attention to detail, and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
