About The Position

Support the strategy, content development and production for high volume direct-to-consumer email campaigns with the goal of increasing customer acquisition and retention, while maintaining flawless execution. Utilize campaign results, analytics and direct marketing best practices to optimize email marketing campaigns for key performance metrics. Leverage sophisticated marketing and triggered communication techniques to execute and analyze ongoing promotional consumer communications.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience in consumer direct response and/or email marketing for a consumer brand company.
  • Working knowledge of email production processes including creative development, and production.
  • Experience with one or more enterprise level ESPs.
  • Knowledge of email design best practices.
  • Experience in leading and operating as the main point of contact on cross departmental initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of the list segmentation to target creative for specific customer segments.
  • Advanced Excel skills to analyze and report campaign results.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to support ad hoc analysis/reporting and campaign or projected-related budget management.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environment to accomplish goals and complete projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Travel industry and cruise line experience is also a plus.
  • HTML & CSS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Management to develop content and strategy for cruise promotional email campaigns that drive leads and bookings.
  • Work with Outbound Sales, Passenger Services, and other departments to develop transactional email communications to drive leads and bookings.
  • Support with the development and execution of email testing strategies. Improve performance metrics via implementation of testing results.
  • Maintain email calendar including dates for all domestic email campaigns including dates for creative briefs, list pulls, creative approval, scheduled mail dates, etc.
  • Assist with the development of creative briefs for planned strategic and tactical integrated email marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure creative briefs are submitted on time and according to business objectives and campaign requirements.
  • Assist with the development of creative briefs for planned strategic and tactical integrated email marketing campaigns.
  • Act as contact for all marketing channels involved in content and campaign development to support business objectives.
  • Regularly report to Management on email testing status and results.
  • Continually recommend areas of process improvements for efficiency gains.
  • Actively monitor industry and competitive trends in the marketplace.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
