About The Position

KBR Corporation is seeking a Space Domain Awareness Analyst to support the Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP) Space Domain Awareness division in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves conducting on-site SDA analytical support, performing analysis that informs ongoing studies and force design efforts, and utilizing Modeling and Simulation (M&S). The analyst will collaborate directly with government sponsors and a diverse contractor team, execute rapid analytical tasks, and develop minimally viable prototypes to support findings and concepts. Key responsibilities also include analyzing and evaluating SDA systems-of-systems, understanding SDA architectures and operational concepts, identifying novel opportunities, and communicating analytical insights to senior leadership and acquisition agencies to inform current and future mission needs. This position is critical for national security, contributing to the design and optimization of defense systems and shaping the future of space defense.

Requirements

  • An active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/CI Polygraph, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Advanced degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or other technical field with demonstrated experience analyzing and reporting on large data-sets.
  • Understanding of space-domain awareness or space operations, with an interest in the underlying operation of SDA systems.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation.
  • Analysis language skills: Python, MATLAB, R.
  • Master of Science degree in related Engineering field and over 5 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years experience with Department of War or commercial SDA systems.
  • Extensive experience with statistics and statistical modeling (including use of analysis languages previously mentioned.)
  • Extensive software development experience including DevSecOps tooling; prior experience developing and deploying software on TS/SCI systems.
  • Experience with and deep understanding of statistical estimation and astrodynamics / orbit determination.
