About The Position

Oligo is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup transforming how organizations protect their applications, cloud environments, and AI systems at runtime. Backed by top-tier investors including Greenfield Partners, Red Dot Capital Partners, Lightspeed, Ballistic Ventures, and TLV Partners, we’re on a mission to make real-time security a reality. Oligo’s industry’s leading runtime security platform built to stop attacks in real time without stopping the business. We transform security from passive visibility to active protection across applications, cloud services, workloads, and AI systems. By uncovering the deepest layers of what actually runs in production, Oligo helps organizations prioritize exploitable vulnerabilities, detect malicious behavior as it happens, and stop modern attacks in their tracks. We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join Oligo’s GTM team, primarily focused on West Coast, enterprise accounts. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and, to a lesser extent, current customers, helping them understand, evaluate, and adopt Oligo’s runtime application security platform. You will work closely with Account Executives to drive value-based technical sales cycles, lead deep technical discovery, deliver tailored demonstrations, and own proof-of-value (PoV) engagements from start to finish. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role requiring strong communication skills, technical depth, and the ability to translate complex security concepts into meaningful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role
  • Strong technical background with modern application stacks and cloud-native architectures
  • Some high-level understanding of or experience in a relatively modern programming language like Python, Java, Go, Javascript, Ruby, etc
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • Familiarity with application security concepts (e.g., runtime security, vulnerability management, supply chain risk, software composition analysis, or similar domains)
  • Experience leading technical discovery and running PoVs with enterprise customers
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and sales engagements
  • Prior experience selling to or supporting large enterprise customers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience specifically with runtime security, cloud workload protection, or application security platforms (SCA, RASP, CWPP, and more, we’ll count them all)
  • Exposure to Linux internals, system instrumentation, or observability tooling, just because this is where Oligo’s sensor lives
  • Familiarity with eBPF or low-level runtime monitoring technologies; we like our nerds super, extra nerdy
  • Understanding of modern development lifecycles, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices helps understand the bigger pictures
  • Background working with open-source ecosystems and dependency management, also for bigger picture stuff
  • Experience supporting highly technical buyers (e.g., platform, SRE, or security engineering teams), because most times the conversations get into these areas

Responsibilities

  • Become a resident expert and primary evangelist on the Oligo technology, with a complete understanding of exactly how Oligo does what it does
  • Lead technical discovery conversations with security, engineering, and platform teams to understand customer environments, workflows, architectures, and needs, mapping these findings back to the Oligo solution
  • Deliver and articulate to customers technically accurate and tailored product demonstrations specific to individual use cases and value propositions
  • Design, execute, and own Proof of Value engagements including development of clear success criteria and testing steps when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with Oligo Product, Engineering, and Customer Engineering to surface feedback, gaps, and field insights
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on runtime application security and modern application architectures both internally and externally such as writing blogs or speaking at events
