The Senior Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for the RPM/CMNT application, ensuring alignment with WMATA business processes, domain requirements, and enterprise standards. The role requires strong domain knowledge, hands-on technical expertise, and proven Scrum/Agile leadership.WMATA applications operate in a 24x7 environment; therefore, this role may occasionally require after-hours or night-time support to assist with critical issues, production incidents, or operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with certifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience
  • Minimum 5+ years as a Technical Lead or Solutions Architect
  • Minimum 3+ years supporting enterprise public-sector, government, or transit-authority systems (WMATA or similar preferred)
  • Strong domain knowledge in compliance-driven, mission-critical application environments
  • Scrum & Agile framework expertise (mandatory)
  • ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET 4.8, C#, .NET 8
  • SOA, Web Services, Web API, SOAP/XML
  • MVC, Telerik Blazor, Razor Components
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
  • IIS 10, SQL Server 2019, SSIS
  • Reporting tools (Telerik, Crystal Reports), iTextSharp
  • IBM Jazz tool suite
  • Successful completion of a Fingerprint background investigation.
  • H 1B

  • Microsoft certifications preferred (MCSD, CP-FSD); Azure AI Engineer a plus
